On a trip to London last week, I visited the House of MinaLima, which is owned by the two graphic designers that worked on the Harry Potter films. It’s just behind the theatre currently showing Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – and free and possible to get to, unlike the play! *cries bc no tickets*The house is huge, and each floor is filled with prints by the design studio, three of which showcase the Harry Potter work. It was really awesome to see all of the graphic design work from the movies framed; from the infamous WANTED posters to the prop books seen in the films. I din’t realise that it was just one design studio, run by two people, that created practically every graphic and poster seen in the movie. From ministry of magic ID cards, to the Quibbler, to the items in the Weasley’s joke store – it was all created by MinaLima. It was so cool to see all of the film’s famous art in one place.
I really recommend checking this out if you’re in London 🙂
